Why do you want a seat at the round table?

Shared Stories.jpg

The Great Conversation is a term used by historians to describe the conversations over time that have changed the world. The Great Conversation in Security reflects this historical context. Ideas matter. How do we create a round table of equals sharing knowledge that will drive the next generation of value in our industry?

I want a seat at that table.

I am humbled to share the table with servant leaders across disciplines and market verticals, who can provide me insights into their journey; the good, the bad, and the ugly. Leaders like Sarah Powell of Temple University, Dave Komendat of The Boeing Company, Cheryl Steele of Starbucks, and Gary Gooden of Seattle Children’s who have shared, transparently, their purpose, their passion, and the experiences that have shaped them as leaders. Leaders like Burke Brownfeld of Visa, Steven Antoine, of YUM! Brands, Tyson Aiken of Nike, and other key members of the DSS Alumni, who have taken seats at the table in corporate security but also are invested in the mission of their organizations and the direction of their communities.

If you become a member, I encourage you not to be a bystander. Your ideas matter. Your experiences matter. And the mission of advancing our industry in a way that protects people’s lives, and our organization’s assets, matter.

Our nation works when people are confident, safe, and secure. This basic need, when fulfilled, allows them to have the courage and freedom to pursue their individual purpose and passion within a free and open society.

Become a member and let’s have a great conversation. And watch our ideas change our world.
